We all knew the time would come eventually, and low and behold Kendall and Kylie Jenner are carrying on their steady world domination with their next big announcement: They have recently revealed that they will be collaborating on a capsule collection with the high street powerhouse Topshop, which sets them up alongside the power players in the fashion industry such as Kate Moss who has previously collaborated with the brand.
Kendall Jenner, 19 – already a household name throughout top modeling agencies in NYC and LA – has seen this past year plummet her into the supermodel limelight having walked for the likes of Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Diane Von Furstenberg, Tommy Hilfiger… Oh the list is endless really. Then there are her most recent campaigns for Balmain, Givenchy and Marc Jacobs alongside a brand ambassador contract with Estée Lauder. It’s safe to say this girl isn’t doing too badly at all and this is really only the beginning for her. Then there is younger sister Kylie, 17 – the baby of the Kardashian clan – who has adopted an altogether edgier 90s-inspired approach to fashion and has encouraged thousands of fans to follow her lead via her Tumblr blog Kalifornia Klass.
Needless to say, the two Jenner sisters are absolutely not defined by their Kardashian family link and any negative connotations that come from being part of a reality TV show. They have instead turned any predisposed disapproval around and gone ahead and shown the world what they can actually achieve. They have already worked with popular teen brand PacSun on a selection of specially designed fashion lines and have also written a best-selling book that hit the shelves last year. See what I mean about them taking over the world? I guess it’s not hard to see why really when you look at them and their unique beauty passed on from mother Kris and athletic genes from dad Bruce Jenner. Then if you add actual talent into the mix, the possibilities are pretty much endless.
According to Kendall and Kylie’s official website, their Topshop collection will encapsulate their ‘contemporary style’ and will be released globally in selected stores and online in the summer of 2015. It will apparently embody the girls’ signature LA style with the added flare of each of their individual tastes. Any other details surrounding the collection have been left a mystery and quite frankly we are dying to know more. I have no doubt that they will be releasing some more clues as the months go by but believe us when we tell you this is only the beginning for these talented young girls.
